How to Apply for Fulbright Scholarship 2024?
Please follow the following step by step application procedure to apply for Fulbright scholarship 2024:
- (1) Make Online Application
To apply for the Fulbright program, you need to collect a variety of materials to help USEFP evaluate your qualifications. All materials must be sent with the application.
- (2) Prepare Academic Transcripts and Degrees
All transcripts and diplomas of a 4-year degree or equivalent; Equivalent programs include international bachelor’s or ACCA degree programs. PhD students must also submit their MPhil or MS diplomas and transcripts. You can also apply during your final year of undergraduate studies, as long as you graduate in December of this year.
USEFP examines your transcripts from a holistic perspective, not just your GPA. They take into account where you went for your education, the courses you took and your performance in individual courses. They also explain the fact that different universities have different evaluation systems. There is no minimum GPA to apply, although the most successful Fulbright students have solid undergraduate records. College academics are just one of the factors the Fulbright panel uses to evaluate a candidate.
- (3) Take GRE General Test and TOFEL
When submitting your question, you can report the unofficial GRE score provided on the day of the test or your official score if you received it. Each applicant must request that ETS submit an official score report directly to USEFP using code 9388. General (international) GRE test scores are required at the time of application. A decent score for Engineering and Science on the GRE is 315+ and for other fields it is 310+. The GRE subject test is not required.
The minimum GRE score required to apply for the Fulbright is 138 per report and 136 per quantity. But in general, accepted candidates have a GRE score in the upper percentiles. If you take the GRE multiple times, you can report your best score and Fulbright will only look at that score. TOEFL is NOT required at the time of submitting the application. You will need to take the TOEFL test if you are called for an interview. IELTS is not acceptable.
- (4) Prepare Two Essays
There are two essays for the Fulbright application. Each paper must be written in the appropriate space of the admission application, which is approximately 800 words. Don’t over-elaborate your essays; just write in clear language so that the Fulbright panel that doesn’t know your world can understand you better. Before starting the trials, you will need to work out a marketing strategy for yourself. Successful candidates typically take 4-6 weeks to write and perfect their essays.
- (5) Three Recommendation letters are required
You will need to have three recommendations sent with your application by the application deadline. You can have 3 academic letters of reference, or 2 academic and 1 professional, or 2 professional and 1 academic. In other words, 1 academic reference letter is a must. Your referees must complete the referral forms provided in the application package and then sign, stamp and seal them in an envelope. After submitting the online application, your referrals will receive an online form by email.
- (7) Submit Online Application
There is no application fee for the Fulbright program. Applications must be submitted online.
